Hello there literate roleplayers. Are you tired of bland Light vs. Dark plots, equine RPGs that all seem the same, and plots that don't affect your character?
Well we've got a surprise for you. At The Secret it's not just about good and evil. In fact, good and evil don't have a lot to do with things. No matter whose side you're on, you can be as nice or as cruel as you see fit. But if you live in the north you'd better be tough if you want to stay alive. Here's a summary of what kinds of characters you can make:
Southern equines: The Resistance. You like freedom and would rather be left to your own devices. Conquering is not really your thing, you just want to be left alone to start a herd. Weakland equines: The Captives. You keep your head down and hope you don't get beaten up too often. You dream of escaping to the south, but know you'll be killed for trying. Mostly mares live here, though there is a small number of stallions. They usually get beaten down the most so they can't rebel. Northern equines: Tartarus's Legions. You work for the mastermind, Tartarus, the one who blew the news about the object of power out into the open. You answer to his captain Atlas, and you spend your time fighting, bullying mares in the Weaklands, and training colts for the army. If you have any spare time you can gather a small herd. Haven of Hesperides: The Secret Keepers. You know not hate nor greed, and you live within the walls of the Haven. You may leave to explore, but other equines seem so different to you. You live in peace and philosophy, seeking knowledge and enlightenment. But you know what is brewing, and the battle will come to your doorstep even though they cannot break down the door.

What's going on... ?
There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?
The board is set, the pieces are in play. Whose side will you join?
Description: Cinder is a well built stallion with the signature Morgan shaped head and body. He is of a russet chesnut color while his mane and tail are a honey blonde. He has four stockings of a palimino coat color, and four white hooves. He is extremely strong though graceful, and can still keep a good speed without hurting his muscles.
Personality: Cinder is a smooth talking and clever horse that knows his way with the ladies. He is calm, cool, and collected, and can be very charming. He loves mares and foals and treats them both very kindly, while also being protective of them. He likes to help others and is very welcoming to newcomers. He doesn't like leaving others out and when his friends are in trouble he protects them with his life. He is a vicious fighter for not only is he cunning be he can be very witty. He is strong along with graceful which also helps when fighting, and doesn't back down from a challenge. He is persistant and usually keeps a positive attitude around others.
History: Cinder's history of a normal one. He grew up normally with the other foals, made plenty of friends and was very well liked. When he came to the age of two though, he was chased out by his father to make a herd of his own. When leaving he tried to take a few fillies with no success and since then has been in search of a few mares of his own to claim land with and care for, along with have foals to raise.
There used to be four Clans. That is, until the two harbingers came.
The one, the Balustrades, believes the feline world should be led by toms and seeks to overwhelm the last two Clans struggling to resist. With them are their rivals, the Clairvoyance, who seek to lead the world of cats under the rule of a woman. They're competing against the Balustrade squad for control over GhostClan and LeafClan, not satisfied with already destroying the other two Clans.
GhostClan and LeafClan are trying their best to resist being overwhelmed but it's obvious the mountain cats are stronger. Will they survive long enough to make peace with the usurpers who believe it's their divine right to rule over all?
Torn is a literate domestic cat roleplay, newly started, with elements of both Warrior Cats and Equine/Wolf-style RPs. While the two surviving Clans are run on a leader-deputy system, the Balustrade and Claivoyance chiefs and betas can be challenged for dominance.
Will you join us? Or will you be torn due to the conflict?

B E T R A Y E D Humans had left thousands of years ago. Their advanced technology took them to the stars, abandoning the planet that they had so horridly corrupted. Countless species died out, others evolved to survive on the constantly changing land. Those that adapted learned to live on the polluted vegetation and to withstand the acid precipitation (though with the years the chemicals weakened drastically). Some thrived so well that their life span increased phenomenally, surviving for nearly two hundred years. Of these stood the equine, who so dutifully took over the role of dominance and authority. Councils were established where ever the horses roamed, and an empire began to arise, complete with hierarchies and religion. But I am not here to tell of those. The tale that I am here to deliver is that of Amaro, a story stricken with bloodshed, betrayal, rivalries, and above all else, religion. Will you listen?

Our Story;;
50,000 years ago the humans roamed the earth. They drove around in cars and trucks. The pollution was stacking up. You couldn’t see the stars every night like we used to do before all that. Many used computers and killed the world single handed with the electricity. Horses were set free as many of them got free or the owners didn’t want them. Wandering the lonely path they made so many years ago, was now worn down. The humans died, but a couple still alive. They live on the streets, sometimes in buildings, but most are unstable. Stray dogs run around, so humans are frightened of the dogs attacking them. The cats wander the streets and up trees. The horses run along the planes. Attempting to find any land they can to claim. Fighting for lone mares and land is quite usual, then suddenly another blow caught the horses, a stupid human was building a timemachine, with such chemicals I cannot describe. It blew up. Changing the human and all the chemicals went into the air as a dangerous Chemical cloud. Birds dropped from the sky, they twitched on the floor. Alive, but changing. It spread around and towards the horses that fled as fast as they could and into caves or open buildings. The cloud passed, but they still fell onto the floor.
Five years later the horses felt the twinges. No-one bred but one Stallion and Mare, deeply in love bred. When the foal was born they saw the odd markings it held. Every horse came around the foal. Smiling at each other. They could breed now! Lots of foals were born in that year, the markings kept coming and the generations kept going. Lots of equines had daggers or lightning bolt or a sign somewhere on them. It showed their personality said one equine. It’s the future said one equine. It was getting harder and harder as many horses tried to figure out what the markings meant. It made lots of equines shiver with fright. Two years passed, the foals grew up and they claimed land and settled down. The grass was fairly long due to the chemical cloud. In those two years equines split from each other, going into alliances. Lights, were kind and light hearted. The Neutrals were kind and unkind. They couldn’t make up their mind and the Darks. The darks were cruel, and trechourous. They thought all these signs were showing the behaviour. So daggers meant killer. Rose meant betrayer and so fourth. Neutrals were alright as they were on both sides, but a quarrel against the Light and Darks happened about the Neutrals were on their side and that was when the Darks turned on them. The Lights turned on them. The Neutrals were stuck. Confused and angry. It was a time to never be forgotten…
